The first European Seminar on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) and Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE) will be on 23rd September 2014 at the Espace de sciences Pierre Gilles de Gennes, ESPCI-ParisTech, Paris, France.
This event is organised by the Open University UK and Traces France.
This seminar aims to create an opportunity for knowledge exchange among FP7 and H2020 projects that contribute(d) to connect IBSE with RRI.
Through this seminar, we want to ensure that relevant approaches and practices are shared among the EC projects that tackle similar issues.
The focus will be on the issues that link IBSE and RRI agendas to teachers’ professional development.
The one day webinar will be retransmitted online, so that as many actors as possible can benefit from it.
From the ENGAGE perspective, we want to obtain the following results:
- Developing an expert network
- Collecting and sharing relevant information
- Obtaining and promoting awareness of using up resources, innovative methodologies, significant outcomes
- Exploring and enriching possibilities of common actions
